Sometimes in school, the smarter you are, the harder is to fit in. Matt Neuenberg has aways felt like an outsider because of his unique gift of memory. Luckily for him, The Company is always in search of those who don’t exactly fit in.

Samantha in Eugene, Oregon: Any scoop on Heroes? Is Niki coming back?

If you threatened to electrocute me with your lightning powers, I’d say…no. But I’d also tell you that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Ali Larter. I’m hearing that the plan as of the last time the writers met up (prestrike) was for Niki to be dead—but for an alter ego to take over. Not Jessica, not the whipped-cream chick from Varsity Blues, and that leaves…come on, you can guess it! It’s someone we’ve seen before. Of course, all that is subject to change due to the current holding pattern.

Jamie Hector

Jamie Hector has recently sat down with 2 magazines to talk about his new role on Heroes, now we haven’t seen him on Heroes yet but he is in the special Volume 3 preview that aired at the Jules Verne Festival.

These days you’re working on Heroes. That must be very different from working on The Wire…

My character’s name on Heroes is Benjamin Knox Washington. I can’t really disclose much about him, but I can tell you it’s a lot of fun. So many special effects — and it all winds up looking so real. The set is different — it’s warmer outside, obviously — and in Baltimore, since most of us are not from Baltimore, we all hang out and go to dinner after shooting. We’re like a family.

How has the writer’s strike affected your career?

Well, actually I shot a couple episodes of “Heroes” that unfortunately have not been seen yet as a result of the strike. Also, I think the writer’s strike’s impact on the award shows will definitely affect some great films. Great movies that aren’t necessarily going to bring in huge audiences at the theaters really rely on things like the Golden Globes to help get the word out. The Great Debaters for example is such a great film and an incredible story that deserves to be acknowledged.

Tell me more about your role on “Heroes.”

My character’s name is Benjamin “Knox” Washington. I can’t say too much about it though.

Pasdar Says Volume 3 Will Be Interesting… by Damien

Adrian Pasdar spoke to Buddy TV about Volume 3…

NBC’s Heroes took a beating from both critics and fans for its second season. Now that it’s over, many are waiting to see just how the next chapter will turn out, including show star Adrian Pasdar.

“Season 3 is going to be very interesting to see what happens and how they’re able to take the lessons that we’ve learned, and really tell the story that they want to tell without losing an audience,” Pasdar, who plays Nathan Petrelli on Heroes, told Entertainment Weekly. “Because the goal at the end of the day is to have as many people watch the show as you can.”

Reconciling what writers and fans want has proven to be challenging, especially since Heroes is “complex” and has “many layers.”

“It’s not stupid TV, it’s not a reality program,” Adrian Pasdar said. “It actually is complex. There’s many layers to Heroes. [Creator Tim Kring is] not averse to risk-taking, as he has proven in the episodes of season 2.”

The future of the show is not the only thing that’s hanging in the balance. In the second season finale, Pasdar’s Nathan was shot during a press conference, leaving viewers to wonder if he’ll be back in the next season or not.

Fans of Adrian Pasdar need not worry, however, as the 42-year-old actor has several other projects to fall back on. Currently, the musical he co-directed and cowritten is showing at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. The production is called Atlanta, and revolves around a soldier who dons his enemy’s uniform to survive battle.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve never really had the opportunity,” he said of his latest stage work. “Who would come to me to direct musical theater unless I wrote it?”

Additionally, Adrian Pasdar and his wife, Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines, are developing an animated series for Nick, Jr.

“It’s the story of a pig and an English bulldog who become friends. It’s based on a true story that we had at our ranch in Texas,” Pasdar explained to Entertainment Weekly. “We inherited a pig when we bought the ranch, and we had a bulldog that we owned, and putting the two together was like oil and water. But they became friends, and we decided to make a children’s show about the Amazing Adventures of Stella and Ralph.”

We May See Origins… by Damien

The ODI sent some awesome info over to Spoiler TV about Volume 3 and Origins…

So before I start with the information about Volume 3, we got a confirmation today that one of the 3 (yes 3)…alternate endings had Nathan dying via the virus. This was rumored as the possible Vol. 2 finale, but was changed at the last moment. However, we were unable to get a confirmation about the other two endings because they still might be used somehow.

Now for Volume 3. I have some interesting news….which could be considered great, but not so great because it all depends on the strike…!?

So a very good source for Heroes just confirmed to me that almost 5 episodes of Heroes Vol. 3 have been filmed and that about 8 episodes were written. This is very interesting news because I have not heard them talk about this any where and I am kind of curious why they would not want to air what they might have.

Well apparently it is all up to NBC who is waiting to see what happens with the strike.

Our source also confirmed that the volume that was called Exodus might actually occur after all and they called it Volume 2.5. For those of you that have no idea what Exodus is, well apparently Volume 3 was initially called Exodus, but was scrapped when the ratings were being hurt and then the writer’s strike occurred.

Plus, there seems to be that there is still a possibility that Origins could happen!! The highly anticipated spin-off was indefinitely canceled after the strike began, but there is a back door chance that Origins will still happen.

So depending on how soon this strike can get cleared up there might be an opportunity for us to get some new episodes….!!

Now like I said this is great info, but unless we get some sort of news from the strike I do NOT see NBC airing any episodes unless it seems like there is a natural cliffhanger with the current lot of available scripts and episodes.

So I wish I hand someting more, but for now this is all we have.

Plans for Volume 3… by Damien
December 5, 2007, 3:21 pm
Filed under: Blog, Cast, Episodes, General, Links, Season 2, Volume 3

Here is some more info that I have received and posted in my blog. It is info about what was changed in Vol. 2 and what is planned for Volume 3.

NOTE: Nothing has been written and everything is based on the “current” plan the writers have for the show.

What was Changed During Volume 2:

1) Kristen Bell was originally suppose to be in 8 episodes and then killed off but due to fan support they are keeping her around for a bit longer

2) Elle was setup as a Bob’s step daughter and the daughter of Meredith which in turn would have been Claire’s SISTER but they dropped it due to lack of storylline and plot holes.

3) Stephen Tobolowsky (BOB) also had a slightly different story, he was supposed to be more evil then he is now and even recruited his SON WEST to make Claire turn against her father this was dropped early in Volume 2 for “various reasons”.

Wow, so Claire was going to be Elle’s sister as Kristen Bell almost leaked when she was signed on to the cast and I never saw that West would be Bob’s Son, but it did feel like he was sent to watch Claire early on. Also, it did feel like Bob was planned to be this big EVIL character and then they backed off.

Ok now for what many of you want to know….the current direction for Vol. 3…please keep in mind nothing has been written and all of this is the “current” plan the writers have for the show. There is plenty of things that can change between now and well….whenever the show returns.

The Current Plan for Volume 3:

1) Ali Larter will return to the show (as Kristin at E!Online has already reported) but are planning to wrap up her storyline up in Volume 3.

2) Micah’s storyline will end also

3) David Anders (Adam) will return and will meet a new friend

4) Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) well thats it up to the fans and he “might be back so don’t worry.”

5) Zachary Quinto (Sylar) will be more bad ass then ever and when we come back he will kill a star on the show

6) Villains is the start of something bigger for Heroes and hopefully it will be more fast pace then Generations (Volume 2).

All I can say is wow wow and wow….this all sounds very interesing, although this killing of characters and bringing them back is getting a little tiring….but I guess if you are a fan of Nathan start your campaigning right now…!!

As I mentioned in a previous blog I am in favor of darker storylines for the Superhero genre so it is good to hear that Adam and Sylar will be back terrorizing the Heroes. Also, there are other rumors floating around that Ali Larter’s evil alter ego Jessica will be a part of the Volume and not Niki.

Whos Dead?!?… by Damien

Kristin over at E! talks about last night…

Now you’ve seen it. Now you know. (And you shouldn’t read another word if you haven’t yet seen last night’s Heroes!)

Our beloved Adrian Pasdar (Nathan), Ali Larter (Niki) and David Anders (Adam) all appeared to be killed off of Heroes tonight, as they were shot, blown up and buried alive.

It reminds me of a line I just heard: “You show me a hero and I’ll show you a dead man.” And funny enough, that line actually was written by Mr. Adrian Pasdar himself, for his new play Atlanta, a Civil War-era musical which is now playing at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Adrian co-wrote and directed Atlanta, and cast his good friend and old Heroes buddy Leonard Roberts (DL) as one of the leading men. (Yes, DL sings! And he’s good!) So I hit the theater of the weekend to chat about the play and ask the money Q: Is Nathan gone for good?

See for yourself what Adrian says in the clip above! Then keep on reading for the scoop on who’s really gone and who’s coming back, in the last Heroes ep we’ll see for a while…

WHAT WE LEARNED

Three Heroes Have Fallen; So Who Will Rise? We all know Claire’s blood can save the world and pretty much everyone in it, so who’ll get the cheerleader injection and come back to the show? Based on what I’m hearing from inside sources, here’s where I’d put my money…

Ali Larter: According to Heroes insiders, Niki is not expected to return to the show. But her devilish alter ego Jessica? Oh yeah, we’ll see her as soon as the show comes back to the beloved airwaves, when the strike is through! At least, that’s the current plan according to sources, who tell me producers had “done all they could do” with Niki. Micah is not gonna be happy.

David Anders: I’d bet my beloved, signed Hiro poster that Hiro’s sworn nemesis will return. (I’ve seen that ’90s flick The Vanishing and know that people can be dug up after being buried alive! Maybe we can even get Kiefer Sutherland to do it like he did fer Nancy Travis!) Sources tell me that the current plan is for Adam Monroe to be back to torment our favorite squinty teleporter, i.e. the “carp.”

Adrian Pasdar: I’ve heard the production and writing staff is somewhat split as to whether Nathan should return to the show when the show returns. Allow me to be the first to say WTF? Heroes without the brothers would be like Prison Break or Brothers & Sisters without the brothers: i.e., a waste of time! Surely Claire’s blood can save her own father, right?!

From reader Gerald: “How did Claire’s blood fix HRG’s glasses? Is there a Lenscrafters at Primatech?” Ha.

Peter’s powers (picked a peck of pickled peppers?) How great is Milo Ventimiglia mixing up electricity, radiation, telekinesis, teleportation and mind-reading? If Volume III: Villains is about Peter v. Sylar: SIGN ME UP!

Did anyone else sense a little Elle-Mohinder chemistry? Matt, don’t look now, but you might have some competition to be!

Instant post-ep spec on the Internet that HRG is the one who shot Nathan; as his side of his deal with the Company to protect Claire & Co.

What happens when Micah becomes a sad little kid with no parents and a lot of power?

WHAT LIES AHEAD

Books? Knitting circles? Jenga? Sock-drawer reorganization?

As you may have heard, this is the last Heroes we’ll get until the bad thing (strike ends), so we’ll have to find some other way to bide our time!

You who live in Los Angeles can always go and visit two possibly dead guys (nooooo) over at Adrian and Leonard’s new musical, Atlanta.
