BBC 2Heroes spinoff Heroes: Origins will air on BBC Two.

The spinoff, which is expected to air on NBC in April, will feature a new cast and introduce a new character in each part of its six episode run.

BBC Two controller Roly Keating told Digital Spy that his channel will “definitely be running it.”

An interactive vote conducted on the show’s official website will determine which of the introduced characters will go on to become a cast regular on Heroes’ third season.

“In America there’s an interactive element and we’d like to do that here, but I don’t know if time will be on our side,” Keating added.

Hayden Panettiere

Indianapolis – One of the young stars of the hit television show “Heroes” captured attention in Indianapolis Sunday.

Hayden Panettiere signed hundreds of autographs at Gen Con. She was there to promote Bella Sara, a girls card game.

The 17-year-old actress is best known for playing Claire Bennett, a cheerleader on the breakout NBC show, whose flesh is indestructible.

And Hayden says sometimes fans believe her character’s powers carry over into real life.

“You know, a few. And I ask them to please do not try anything on me because it’s not going to work. But not that many today. I’ve had none today, but there are another two signings. so, we’ll see,” she said.

Pannetiere has a Hoosier connection. Her grandparents live in Winona Lake, near Warsaw.

Hayden Hates Being Nice… by Damien

Hayden Panettiere

While we all see Claire on the show and wonder how nice and family motivated she is in real life she is growing tired of the fact being nice.

“People look at me as sweet,” Hayden Panettiere said yesterday. But “I would never describe myself like that.

“I think I’ve always been categorized, and sometimes typecast, because I’m blonde, and people look at me as either the popular cheerleader type or just the blonde, and you don’t play villains when you’re blonde, unless you’re Sharon Stone.”

“I wish I could turn bad,” she says of her character, who matured last season from a selfish teenager into a noble do-gooder.

“I’d turn bad in a second; I’d be the villain. I could be bad. It would be a blast,” she says.

Panettiere says she is grateful for all the attention fans give the show, even the ones who have become obsessed with it. She admits they might want to “get a life.”

“It’s crossed my mind,” she says. “But it’s very cool that they like it, because it’s a pat on our backs. Aside from awards shows, we’re always behind the camera . . . so it doesn’t always click that 15 million people are watching. It’s cool to hear from them.”
