Eric Roberts is going to be starring in the new Batman movie alongside Christian Bale according to LA Daily News

Eric Roberts has just been set to play a Mafia kingpin in Christopher Nolan’s latest Christian Bale “Batman” movie, “The Dark Knight,” joining the production in June. It’s the latest in an especially bountiful current crop of assignments for Roberts, including his ongoing series roles on “Heroes” and “The L Word,” and his June Hallmark Channel presentation, “Pandemic,” with Faye Dunaway.

“I don’t stop working. I’m a workaholic. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’m too overexposed to ever be a superstar, so I’m happy to be a working actor every day,” explains the actor also known as rising star Emma Roberts’ dad, and superstar Julia’s brother.

Referring to his unrequited 1985 Academy Award nomination for “Runaway Train” (Don Ameche won for “Cocoon”), Roberts goes on lightly. “Once they gave my Oscar to the wrong person, I called my agent and said, ‘From now on if there’s one good thing about a project, I’ll do it.’ If the character is good, I’ll do it. If the director is good, I’ll do it. If the location is good, I’ll do it.”

James Kyson Lee (at least I got his name right this time!!!) sat down with Wizard and talked about his role on Heroes and at the time of this interview he was filming Episode 22…

Do we end up finding out you have a superpower, too?

LEE: That’s the question of the year. I get asked that so many times, and that’s a great question for the show’s writers. We talk about this all the time. I thought it would be funny if Ando gets a power that’s just unique, but random. Like, he can make cheese out of thin air. It’ll be like, “Mozzarella!” Or he could be like a Karaoke Hawk: When he gets mad he’d turn all blue and start singing ’80s rock songs from Journey with explosions and glass shattering, and everyone would be like, “Stop! We surrender.” I mean, who knows? You never know what’s going to happen with this show.

You seem to be able to get a job as a security guard at the drop of a hat. Maybe that’s your power.

LEE: I know. Hotel bellhop. I could be changing uniforms every two episodes. I don’t know what’s next. Construction worker? It’s so fun always coming in camouflaged like that and it’s always fun what they do with Ando and Hiro. They kind of come in and save each other at the end of the day.

Death is to be Expected… by Damien

Thanks to Spoiler TV for this article from SYFY Portal

“Heroes” creator Tim Kring says he’s a bit surprised that fans would not expect there to be major death on his NBC hit series. Even with popular, good-looking future painters like Isaac Mendez, the character played by Santiago Cabrera who met his fate Monday night against Sylar.

“When you have a villain as vicious as Sylar, some characters have to pay the ultimate price,” Kring told TV Guide. “We’ve set the bar high as a show that plays truthfully with the audience — and we have to keep delivering on that.”

Cabrera himself said he knew the writing was on the wall for his character, especially after he shot and killed his one-time girlfriend Simone.

“Isaac stood up to Sylar and went out a hero despite his fears and torment and heroin addiction, and I’m very proud of that,” Cabrera said. “I’m sad to go, but was prepared for it. I always said that if this day came, I’d bow my head in thanks because it’s been an amazing ride.”

Many shows, it’s the actors and the characters the keep things together, and “Heroes” has been no stranger with the likes of Masi Oka, who plays Hiro. But in the end, it’s not the characters that drive the writers and producers on the show to do what they do, Cabrera said.

“The entire cast knew going into ‘Heroes’ that story is king,” he said. “There’s a whole new season with a whole new concept coming, and Isaac was in the way. Ironically, his ability to see the future was pretty limiting — he had to be in his loft to paint and manifest his power. He never left the building except for that dream sequence where Peter explodes. With a show as sprawling as ‘Heroes,’ that’s a problem.”

Apparently Cabrera forget when Isaac was a prisoner of HRG … but it’s hard to keep up.

Anyway, what should fans expect in the final episodes that are airing in the next month?

“We love our shocks and surprises, but we also honor our commitments,” Kring said. “We showed Isaac dead on the floor way back in Episode 2. Sure, we could have found a way out of that, but it’s not our style. We take story seriously.”
