He talks about the media used, internet based content such as Hiro’s blog and Claire’s Myspace, and the changing of the name from Heroes360 to Evolutions.

How are games and riddles constructed? For instance, Hiro’s blog featured a very detailed crossword puzzle, and Richard Drucker recently sent a postcard with very complex code. Who writes these puzzles?

Masi Oka writes and creates all of the Hiro blog entries himself. I put together the Drucker postcard code and our lead designer (Markus Hagen) created the artwork and flash file. The games and riddles for Heroes Evolutions are developed by our in-house team and the Heroes Tranzmedia team working together with the show writers to help guide us and keep us within the show’s mythology.

Like I said, other than the script, I didn’t know what the art was going to look like or anything. It just blew me away. I love the art and I loved the coloring and the very moody blues they used for when he was in the coffin.

Yes. It was amazing. My hat’s off to him. It turned out better than I could have possibly imagined.

Hayden Panettiere tells Lucky magazine’s February issue that she lives for those moments off-set of “Heroes” when she can wear something other than a cheerleading outfit! “On the show, I spend most of my time in a cheerleading uniform,” the 18-year-old actress says, “so in real life I like to have a lot more fun with my clothes.” Panettiere plays Claire, the literally invincible cheerleader on NBC’s hit drama series. Describing her style as “very frenetic,” the actress admits her penchant for panoply “changes as quickly as my mood.” But, she confesses, her obsession “about really stunning heels” is perfectly consistent. “I get excited even taking the elevator up to the shoe floor at Bergdorf’s.” Lucky hits newsstands Thursday.

Samantha in Eugene, Oregon: Any scoop on Heroes? Is Niki coming back?

If you threatened to electrocute me with your lightning powers, I’d say…no. But I’d also tell you that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Ali Larter. I’m hearing that the plan as of the last time the writers met up (prestrike) was for Niki to be dead—but for an alter ego to take over. Not Jessica, not the whipped-cream chick from Varsity Blues, and that leaves…come on, you can guess it! It’s someone we’ve seen before. Of course, all that is subject to change due to the current holding pattern.

Jamie Hector has recently sat down with 2 magazines to talk about his new role on Heroes, now we haven’t seen him on Heroes yet but he is in the special Volume 3 preview that aired at the Jules Verne Festival.

These days you’re working on Heroes. That must be very different from working on The Wire…

My character’s name on Heroes is Benjamin Knox Washington. I can’t really disclose much about him, but I can tell you it’s a lot of fun. So many special effects — and it all winds up looking so real. The set is different — it’s warmer outside, obviously — and in Baltimore, since most of us are not from Baltimore, we all hang out and go to dinner after shooting. We’re like a family.

How has the writer’s strike affected your career?

Well, actually I shot a couple episodes of “Heroes” that unfortunately have not been seen yet as a result of the strike. Also, I think the writer’s strike’s impact on the award shows will definitely affect some great films. Great movies that aren’t necessarily going to bring in huge audiences at the theaters really rely on things like the Golden Globes to help get the word out. The Great Debaters for example is such a great film and an incredible story that deserves to be acknowledged.

Tell me more about your role on “Heroes.”

My character’s name is Benjamin “Knox” Washington. I can’t say too much about it though.

Adrian Pasdar spoke to Buddy TV about Volume 3…

NBC’s Heroes took a beating from both critics and fans for its second season. Now that it’s over, many are waiting to see just how the next chapter will turn out, including show star Adrian Pasdar.

“Season 3 is going to be very interesting to see what happens and how they’re able to take the lessons that we’ve learned, and really tell the story that they want to tell without losing an audience,” Pasdar, who plays Nathan Petrelli on Heroes, told Entertainment Weekly. “Because the goal at the end of the day is to have as many people watch the show as you can.”

Reconciling what writers and fans want has proven to be challenging, especially since Heroes is “complex” and has “many layers.”

“It’s not stupid TV, it’s not a reality program,” Adrian Pasdar said. “It actually is complex. There’s many layers to Heroes. [Creator Tim Kring is] not averse to risk-taking, as he has proven in the episodes of season 2.”

The future of the show is not the only thing that’s hanging in the balance. In the second season finale, Pasdar’s Nathan was shot during a press conference, leaving viewers to wonder if he’ll be back in the next season or not.

Fans of Adrian Pasdar need not worry, however, as the 42-year-old actor has several other projects to fall back on. Currently, the musical he co-directed and cowritten is showing at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. The production is called Atlanta, and revolves around a soldier who dons his enemy’s uniform to survive battle.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve never really had the opportunity,” he said of his latest stage work. “Who would come to me to direct musical theater unless I wrote it?”

Additionally, Adrian Pasdar and his wife, Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines, are developing an animated series for Nick, Jr.

“It’s the story of a pig and an English bulldog who become friends. It’s based on a true story that we had at our ranch in Texas,” Pasdar explained to Entertainment Weekly. “We inherited a pig when we bought the ranch, and we had a bulldog that we owned, and putting the two together was like oil and water. But they became friends, and we decided to make a children’s show about the Amazing Adventures of Stella and Ralph.”

Milo Ventimiglia has confirmed that he is dating Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere.

The couple have repeatedly denied rumours that they are more than friends, with fellow cast member James Kyson Lee also speaking out to dismiss the speculation in September.

However, Ventimiglia reportedly delivered a toast to Panettiere at a pre-Christmas party for the show in Los Angeles, telling colleagues that they were in a relationship.

An onlooker told In Touch Weekly: “He called her his girlfriend and said that he loved her.”

The pair, who play Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennet in the hit NBC drama, spent the rest of the party holding hands.

ANDELMAN: We have to talk about “Heroes,” of course, don’t we? We can’t take live calls today, so I did the next best thing, and I solicited questions from friends of mine and fans of yours.

VENTIMIGLIA: Alright.

ANDELMAN: So these are coming from a few places here. Let’s start with this question from DigDog: “Did the writers’ strike hobble the show by forcing producers to end any of the story lines prematurely?”

VENTIMIGLIA: I don’t think it hobbled us so much as it cut us short. The writers’ strike was one of those unfortunate things that stops production. Beyond the strike, you can’t write anything new. You can only produce what’s been written. We basically ran out of material. I think the producers, it was their intent to give some kind of a wrap-up to what became a very short season just so that people weren’t left with too many questions. In my opinion, it was a good thing to do to, hopefully, tie up a couple loose ends, and we leave people wanting a little bit more.

ANDELMAN: This second season got hit by some criticism early on that it was taking too long to get to the meat. And then it seemed like those last couple weeks, the critics and the fans may have come around a little bit.

VENTIMIGLIA: Yeah, they did. We had some problems early on, still working out problems toward the end, but I know the show started to get back to that same feeling, that same sentiment that we all worked very hard for. But it’s one of those things. You just gotta understand that a season is long. You’re making usually 24 episodes, so I think when there’s a little bit of a delay, there’s not that instant, rewarding scene or moment or episode, and people get impatient. So it’s finding that balance between giving and getting.
